With nearly 25 years of sectoral experience, he has led financial and organizational structuring, internal audit, budget, reporting, cost and management accounting and tax planning processes in organizations operating in energy, infrastructure, production and international e-commerce.
Mehmet Atasü, with nearly 25 years of sectoral experience, has led financial and organizational structuring, internal audit, budget, reporting, cost and management accounting and tax planning processes in organizations operating in energy, infrastructure, production and international e-commerce; has carried out financial and operational internal audit duties at various facilities within IC Holding, primarily at Antalya Airport, IC Çeşme Marina and Güllük Port Operations and energy subsidiaries.
In his career, he served as a board member in energy investments participated by international financial institutions such as EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) and at TREPAŞ (Trakya Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş.); played an active role in the acquisition process of Yeniköy-Kemerköy Thermal Power Plant, one of the most comprehensive privatization processes in Turkey's energy sector, and led the establishment of the financial affairs and financing department of this strategic facility that provides approximately 2.5% of Turkey's electricity production. He served as a board member at this company for 7 years, making significant contributions in project finance, investment management and corporate governance.
He also briefly served as an executive board member at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital; gaining experience in financial control, budgeting and process management in large-scale operations conducted with the public-private partnership model in the healthcare sector.
He has taken an active role in group-level financial control, budgeting, investment evaluation, reporting, risk management, cost analysis, ERP installation processes and restructuring of corporate processes. He has also led many projects in planning and implementation of company spin-off and merger (M&A) processes, capital optimization, corporate transformation and sustainable growth.
As CFO and Vice Chairman of the Board at London-based Sazy Ltd., he managed international e-commerce-focused financial transformation projects; developing comprehensive management experience in financial planning, project finance, supply chain, human resources, quality management and occupational health and safety.
Atasü holds an MBA from Bilkent University and a Bachelor's degree in Public Finance from Gazi University.
